 Why is Eid ul-Fitr celebrated?
The first Eid ul-Fitr was celebrated by Prophet Muhammad in 624 AD after Jung-e-Badr.  Prophet Hazrat Muhammad was conquered in the Battle of Badr.  This festival is celebrated in the joy of their victory.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.  Roses are kept throughout this month.  The 10th month of Shawwal begins at the end of this month.  The first moon night of this month is the moon night of Eid.  The wait of this night is due to a special year, because it is from the moon that appears on this night, that Eid-ul-Fitr, the major festival of Islam, is announced.
In this way, the moon brings the message of Eid.  This moon night is called 'Alpha'.  No matter how much the era changes, a festival like Eid draws all of us back to our roots and makes us realize that the entire human race is one and humanity is its religion.
